My father has always been a big gambler. I remember we would take weekend trips to Atlantic City, maybe twice a month, while I was growing up. This went on until I was maybe 15. My father would get complimentary rooms at the big hotels and free dinners and gifts, so we all went along. I'm 24 now, and I havent been there in ages. I can still remember what it was like; the boardwalk, the homeless smell, the cheap stores. I wonder if it has changed for the better at all.
My gf and I are staying at the Hilton, just for a night (Saturday). I'll probbaly bring a few hundred dollars to gamble with; maybe play some craps. Im not big into gambling, but my gf enjoys it.
Anyone visit Atlantic City recently? Thoughts?

My gf and I stayed at Atlantic City at the Hilton. We came back ahead about $700 between the both of us. I won $300 and she won $400. We played craps, and a few slots for fun. The boardwalk has changed. Many of the cheap souvenir stores on the boardwalk are gone. The large mall on the boardwalk (formally known as 'Ocean One') has changed as well. When I would visit Atlantic City when I was younger, the mall was filled with cheap gift stores and a large arcade. It has now changed to a luxury mall with stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., etc. Big difference!
Anyways, we had a great time and the best part of it all? We didnt pay for a thing. Everything was comped from our room, to room service, to dining out, to parking.
