Holy CRAP!!!

My monitor just started to whistle. Its not that loud but its enough to hear. I told gateway and i still havent got the new one. Now i gotta call and complain. I wish i ran the wiring to my room for dsl so i can use my PC with its nice lcd and gaming hardware.

Yep..high voltage,particle emission, rf spurious emission, hot filaments,convergance and focus degradation, refresh flicker..and that's when the friggen things are working normal. Get that LCD working.

I hate all the loud high-pitched whistles that most people either can't or don't know they do hear.

I could tell you which CRT monitor (there are four - except one because I can't hear it) is turned on at any given moment in my apartment or which TV (there are five) is turned on. There's a bunch of other stuff that contributes to the 'high-band chaos' that I hear.

Lucky SOB with an LCD - which still may or may not emit a high-pitched noise.

I can hear harmonics from the flyback highvoltage x-former in crt devices. Sounds like a bat chirping and fluttering about.
