I'm going crazy...

Test drove an 07 rav4 v6 sport... I want trade in my 06 audi 6 speed....wtf!!

The thing feels peppier then my audi.

Should I do it, or is it too much of a mommy car...haha

For what it's worth the Rav4 with V6 is surprisingly quick. The current one has been clocked at 60 in under 7 seconds by reviewers. The 2007 may be a touch slower, I'm not sure. It definitely won't handle as well, however.

I can't say I'm surprised that it feels faster - the 2GR V6 is not a bad little motor. They'll put down ~275whp if you open the exhaust up (in an MR2, anyway). A quick search indicates that the '07 RAV4 is a little faster to 60 than an '06 A4 2.0T 6sp.

I doubt it matches the fit/finish of your Audi, though. 😛

sounds like it is time to get a tune for that A4...if it is a turbo there's a lot of easy power to be had.

My GF's RDX would probably walk all over your A4 as well, but that's a pretty terrible reason to swap cars.

I like to drive it around when I can't get to the gym, TC off, stomp the throttle and then wrestle the steering wheel all the way through 1st and half of 2nd - it's a great workout 😛

<head explodes>

the V6 in the Rav4 is a great engine..but otherwise you're talking about a very poor replacement for your Audi from a dynamic perspective. You don't like wagons, buy you like a crossover...essentially a lifted wagon? I have never understood this. And to top it off, the RAV4 is one of the most feminine crossovers IMHO.

I wish the Q5 had a 3.0TDI/Hybrid or something...rumors are sept 2011 though!!

Correct, wagons are a no go for me...what's wrong with a little lift?

My A4 is chipped already.

My dad's got a v6 Rav4. Nice station wagon IMO.... (my station wagon is a forester, works well enough for me, I don't give a shit if it's a chick car, it gets me to/from work reliably and gets decent gas mileage and has semi decent cargo area.

no ....

to me, the difference is huge.

Agree the Rav4 is definitely not a wagon. A wagon is an extended hatch with similar proportions to a car except longer. That audi in post above mine is stellar.

Disagree, wagon looks horrid.

As always, looks are subjective...but driving dynamics are not. The wagon would eat the crossovers lunch. Granted the Q5 is one of the better "crossovers", but I just see no point in crossovers. Why do they need to be lifted exactly? To tackle the urban sprawl? Why would I want to give up better driving dynamics for the few times the snow is so deep I shouldn't be out driving to begin with? To each their own.

To look better?
