Why spend the money on that? Why not buy a cheap whore and perform all the acts that the pornstars you would be watching on it would do?

Have you actually seen this TV, or are you just reading the specs? I wouldn't buy an HDTV of any sort without seeing it and comparing the picture to other.

Almost every person I've met in foreclosure has had a big screen tv, just keep that in mind. I hope you aren't overextending yourself.

refurb plasma is scary.

50k hours of usage might be half consumed already, i don't think there's a way of knowing until it burns out.

Refurb $4k tv =

Like someone else said, go to Costco. Solid price on something better, and Costco's return policy can't be beat.

just read the reviews of DLP sets online - half the price, same size, same weight or lighter than a plasma(a 46" dlp only weighs 69 lbs) - great picture, not as easily burned in as plasma, etc. the list goes on

Not as easily burned in as a plasma? How about, "will not burn in, ever". And yes, for the money, a good DLP can't be beaten by a plasma, overall. You have to spend a considerable higher amount before a plasma starts looking as good as DLP.
