I'm getting fed up with AT&T Wireless

Thinking of switching to someone else, looks like my only real choice here(Oklahoma) is T-Mobile or Cingular. T-Mobile's coverage sucks and I've not heard much about Cingular. Does anyone here have any thoughts/comments on Cingular? Looks like if I go to them I would end up with an LG4050 as a phone....good or bad thoughts on it? Read some reviews at phonescoop.com and they seem to like it but there are only a few reviews up.

Thanks!

Don't visit Northern California with that Cingular phone.... they have ZERO coverage up here. Buddy used to work for SBC at their main campus in the East Bay...... NO signal, even standing in a direct line with their cell tower..... wassup w'dat!?
<Likes At&T wireless even with a few bumps along the way.......

I got tired of ATT Wireless a few months back and went with Verizon. Best wireless provider I've ever had.

I think I've met the one person that's satisfied with ATT:p He seems shocked when I tell him how everyone else can't stand them. Cingular also sucks where I am but if it works for you I hear they're a decent provider; certainly a lot better then ATT.

Depends on where you are I believe. I know they share towers where I am.

Tmobile has best rate plan. $39 for 600 anytime, friday saturday and sunday free, and nights free too right now (otherwise $4.99 per plan).

Motorola V300 is pretty popular tmobile phone, and samsung 715 is nice if you wanna spend some money.

i hate ATT Wireless also, but luckily AT&T is divesting their wireless division and it looks like Verizon is currently the number one bidder. i read an article briefly - come to think of it there was a heading in the WSJ, i'll go find the story.

edit: ok, actually the story is pretty complicated complicated. put simply, ATT put their wireless division up for auction earlier this year. the most likely buyer at the time is cingular, but other players are vodafone, NTT DoCoMo (japanese), and nextel.

I am with ATT Wireless now and I will switch in May of this year because I want to keep my current number. I think I will go with Verizon because I hear most good things about them.
