I'm getting a FX5600 but which?

Should I go with the 128mb version link

or

Should I go with the 256mb version link

These cards appear to be identical with the exception of the memory, am I correct? Do they both run at the same speed? I looked at Gainwards site but they don't really list the specs very clearly.

Any help would be appreciated.

128MB ti4200 is still useless... go bench them both with the same clock speed.. less than 2% difference at best

Even 1600x1200 with 4xFSAA needs only 77MB RAM...

The best FX5600 is the one that is labeled ATI 9600pro on the box.

OK first off I would advise you against getting an fx5600. You'd be better off with a ti4200 for cheaper, or a 9600pro for a little more. But, if you really want to get an fx5600, get the 128mb model.

In a lot of cases the fx5600 is too slow to run at 1600x1200 with 4xfsaa anyways.

According to Tomshardware the 5600 is faster then the 9600pro link. So, why should I go with the 9600?

guys, I think he knows what card he wants, and if he wanted a 9500 pro, 9600pro, or whatever, he would have put that in the title, just let him know some info on the two cards since thats his qusetions.

The FX5600 ultra is faster than the 9600 pro.

You're buying the vanilla 5600 right now.

The thing you're looking for is something like The leadtek A310 ultra
