Past Lifer 1957-2014 In Memoriam
My HP K6-2 500 owning neighbour won 2 grand at Bingo last night (well, his wife did, same thing 😉). To thank me for all the help I've given him in the last 3 years, he's buying me a Radeon DDR 64MB to replace my aging V770. That's worth $300 Can. 😀

So now, as soon as it arrives, I will have all the pieces for my upgrade from --> to

Quantum CR 5400rpm --> Quantum Fireball Plus LM 7200rpm (already installed)
Asus P3B-F --> Asus A7V133 (already arrived)
Celeron 500MHz --> Thunderbird 1GHz (already arrived, tested stable @ 1150 by Compuwiz1)
Viper 770 32MB vanilla --> ATI Radeon DDR 64 MB retail (should arrive Tuesday (Pop's store is closed on Monday))

Pop is still waiting for my Enermax EG-351P-VE PS and GlobalWin FOP32-1 from Bigfoot Computers. I already have the Arctic Silver.

Methinks I'll see a noticeable speed increase, particularly if I can get that Tbird cracking rc5 stable at 1.2GHz. 🙂

I ain't keeping the Celeron and P3B-F. Someone in the building is waiting to give them a nice home for about $130., upgrading from a 486 to a new case he got from someone else, and that someone will crack for TA Cube, off course. 🙂

I played Bingo a couple of time with my wife when we were dating. Those old ladies are real cut-throats. The nasiest, grumpiest group I've seen this side of OT.

In fact I've often wondered if some of them post here. 😉
 
Yeah, they cant vote right here but they can run 20+ bingo cards at one time.

Congrats, Dennil, I know you will like it. Ive only got a stinky old 32M ddr Radeon but I had to pay for it myself 😀

When we were kids we had video cards with only 512K on memory that cost $300 american and WE LIKED THEM ! Ha Ha
