My settings: 1280x1024 resolution, all high settings, reflect all, HDR enabled, 4xAA, 16xAF.

My rig: AMD 64 3000+, 1 gig ram, 6800 vanilla with 128mb.

I'm getting 10fps at the beach when you meet the fisherman.

Turn down the resolution, turn off the AA/AF, and see if it's any better.

It's probably the AA/AF that's killing you. And your CPU isn't the best for the game either (it recommends a 2.2ghz AMD 64, compared to the 1.8-2ghz that you might have).

LOL turn down your settings man, That ain't a Radeon.

I'm running the same res, 2xAA 4XAF everything on high and HDR on
give me 60 hi's 50avg, 33 low

And everything on except AA and AF.

80hi 60avg 40 low.

I also find a nice boost in FPS is u turn V-sync off.

All that is with a X800XTPE
A64 2.4ghz

Not surprising. I get what seems like 10 FPS even without AA, heheh... (with 6800 vanilla).

Well for one thing, your 9600 is running in DX8.0 most likely (i'm not sure). Also, it doesn't work with HDR.

I ran it again with same settings but at 1024x780 resolution and I get 22fps with the fisherman, and 30-50 fps later in the level. But it stays mostly in the 30-40 range.

it's really your video card and the 128mb memory....you need to lower resolutions and/or quality

No its 9.0 sm2. compliant. If I was running 8.0 frames would have been higher
