I'm fresh installing Windows. How do I keep DVD Profiler working?

Easy. As long as your online DVD Profiler account is up-to-date, you can use the "My Profile" option in DVD Profiler to download your online collection to your newly reformatted PC. All you will need to do is redownload all of the images. I've done this a few times before, works great.

Well, I don't know if my "online DVD Profiler account is up-to-date." The link you see above does work (at least for me) and I can use my browser to see my collection. However, when I just went to the DVD Profiler website and tried to login using my userid and password, it didn't know who I am. I didn't pay for a premium membership, and don't know if that's part of this. Anyway, I just registered again using the same userid and password as I had before. I installed DVD Profiler on my computer on a different partition than my OS, but I know it's necessary to reinstall it (I figure) because it's in Add/Remove Programs. Is there a way I can make sure I can do this before I wipe out my OS partition? Is my "online DVD Profiler account is up-to-date?" Thanks for the help.

Well, if you go to My Profile, log in and select "Upload my collection," your online profile should be up-to-date. If you are unable to log in, I don't know if I can help you. You don't need a premium registration to use the online profile capabilities.

I went to the home page, logged in, went to My Collection and viewed my collection. But I don't see "Upload My Collection."

I only see
My Collection Stats
View My Collection
Change Options
Create A Link
Download Backup

I did the Download Backup option. I guess that's some insurance against losing my data. It's called backup.dpb

No, no. In the DVD Profiler application, there should be a menu option for "My Profile." I'm sorry I don't remember the exact menu; I don't have the application installed here at work.

Yes! It's the Online menu item and then My Profiler. You login and then pick Upload to My Profiler. You then have the option to Refresh Updated Profilers, which I guess is a good idea having something to do with getting up-to-date info about your DVDs before doing the upload. "Collection file upload complete." Thanks!

Soon I will be reformatting, installing, installing, configuring, etc. etc. It's very very nice to have a 2nd box for this... if necessary, I can use the other box for research, going online, downloading, and the first thing I'm going to do is repartition part of my other box's main HD.
