Had this exact set .... wish I still had it now found this pic attached to a $400+ Ebay page.

"Magna-Traction" baby!!! 😛

How is that vintage?

Vintage 2017 maybe ??? 🙂

SNES and a couple games. I have a NES too but it's at my sister's house as my nephews play it sometimes. I'm not sure where my PS1 is, maybe at my parents' house somewhere. I would have to try to find it some time.

Oh another, technically not mine, but at work we still use these:

I was oddly excited when we got one for each of our desks so we did not need to remote into a PC anymore.

One of these, purchased around 1976, which I eventually tossed...and now worth up to $500 on fleabay.
I remember that model from Pacific Stereo. I really was thinking of getting it.
Bought this instead as I needed a new receiver. These are still somewhat in demand as they can go for 400-600 on eBay
right now depending on the condition.
I still have it.

Vintage, it doesn't mean what you think it means.

It kinda shows a problem, though. That 1980's boombox and 1970's transistor radio that I posted pictures of still work. Do you think that iPhone XR will even be usable 15 years from now? The network that it connects to will likely no longer exist, and the non replaceable battery will die long before then.

The network you can't do much about, but with a standardized replaceable battery, it could still have a useful life 10-15 years now. There's all kinds of things a general purpose computer can do, even without phone. That's why fixed battery phones suck, but that's about all there is anymore :^(

Hey that's pretty cool. I still have the Revell set that my dad played with when he was a kid. I think the copyright on the back of the track pieces is dated '65 or '66. Now it's just sitting in the garage in a toy chest that my Grandfather made for me when I was a boy. Last time I set it up was about 13 years ago so I have no idea if it still works. I just took a pic of it. It was the first time I've even looked at it in at least two years.

I also keep a vintage 486 PC around just for fun. I've upgraded it over the years but the reason I bought it was becasue in the original configuration it was very close to the first PC I had as a kid.

I still have and it works. I have the slide stacker for it as well a couple trays. We have a few hundred slides so it's worth hanging onto.

Cool! 😎

My Dad had one like that only it was entirely dark grey and like 30% larger ... most likely an older model. Thing was seriously heavy!

Had a great picture for what it was and used a WIRED REMOTE (!!!) which at the time was high-tech. I'll try to find the model.

Quality of the projector however did absolutely nothing for dads family vacation slide shows!
