That. Plus I'm already naturally strong. If I can maintain my current muscle mass while losing the fat, I'll be ok.

at 1300 calories, you won't.

naturally strong? your legs might be b/c they move around a high weight every day, apparently.

yeah, I know I need to force my calories up some, but eating a lot is hard when you limit yourself to healthy food!

Yeah 1300 calories probably means you are pretty catabolic.

1500 sounds like an sustainable target.

Pretty much what I do on my ipod touch. I'm going to wait for the new wii fit to come out before I invest in that.

Do you use the Nike app much? I assume that's what you're talking about. My stupid 1st gen Touch doesn't support it, I want to try it out but not bad enough to buy a 2g Touch.

No, I have a 1st Gen also. I use Lose It! You still do have to enter the data "by hand" but it is pretty quick and easy. Since I always have my ipod on me, it is really simple to update my daily food log. The Program is free on the app store. Only problem with the app is that you can't export your data but the devs are apparently working on that for the next version.

Solution - set your "goal" on Wii Fit to put on weight, if you get bigger you'll meet your goal and Wii Fit will congratulate you for a job well done and tell you to keep up the good word :D

Congrats on the weight loss, but be careful, too few calories isn't good either. Even without knowing all of your stats I would say that 1300 is way too few and some of the weight loss will from losing muscle too. Sounds like you are eating healthy foods, just need to eat more of them.

if it was his first month of really trying, a good chunk of that could have been water weight.

I've been doing well on like ~1000 calories/day... probably going to weigh-in at 268-269 this week (my "official" weight day is tuesday... I like to do it on the same day/time of day every week), that's down from +400 a year ago :Q

I have a doctor overseeing me, though. I go in every couple months for blood work and a check-up to make sure I'm not dying.

Can't be healthy.

Depends. It doesn't sound neither good nor bad. If he was cutting eating a lot of more fatty foods and exercising, I think we'd all be surprised at how much weight you could lose.

But I don't know. Keep it up is all I can say.

On a happier note, I am down 17lbs in the last month. :)

Anything over 10lbs a month isn't healthy. You're losing more than just fat and that's bad. That's worse than staying fat because you'll lose muscle tissue which is much harder to replace than fat. People who drop weight instantly always drop muscle as well and end up fat again very very quickly with an even harder fight to lose the weight again with said muscle loss. I would know. :p

I've been eating non stop almost all day and I'm still only at 1100 calories. Man, it's hard to eat this much healthy food.

12lb in your second month is way too much dude. I know it feels great, but I promise you, you're setting yourself up for failure.

I'm eating a pretty large amount of food, daily calorie tracking has me right around 2K every day (give or take a couple hundred) and my exercise is pretty consistent (alternate days between running and lifting weights with an off day every 7th day). I really can't eat anymore without diving back into junk food, so If my body loses quickly, then it loses quickly.
