I'm engaged!

Have known my fiance for over a year but have only dated her about a month. Things progressed very quickly and the perfect romantic moment came on a rooftop in Brooklyn, under a star filled sky.

This forum is proof that I've dated quite a bit and have found the whole dating thing so frustrating. With Melissa, things have been surreally perfect - everything is clicking magically into place.

01/03/09 is the wedding date - it's all happening quickly but its all very exciting.

Melissa looking dreamy with her new haircut

Awwww!

She's on the.. Bottom?

Me and her being goofballs before the "prom" (friend's themed birthday)

I need to finish school and get a place, I asked for the '09 date. She wanted a much sooner date.

is she the one that borrowed the TV?

Thanks :)
Yep, that post about the tv was short sighted and silly. I was being paranoid about bad past experiences, not anything she's done. She's a good, christian girl who has a sense of humor... So it'll work!

Isn't engagement basically a trial period? You're basically married, but not by the books.

"Freedomsbeat's never been in love. At least no one's ever been in love with him. He's gonna marry the first girl he lays. And she's gonna treat him like shit because he's gonna kiss her ass for giving him what he's built-up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existance. She won't respect him because you can't respect someone who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work."

Actually, I've been in love before. Dated one girl for 7 years, actually. You don't know very much about me, do ya? Thanks for playing though ;)

You're Indian, right? Have you told your family? If so, how are they taking the whole non-Indian fiance thing?

We've been insanely honest. Introduced her to a few of my ex's even, stating that I was an immature tool when dealing with women in the past and made many, many mistakes. Luckily these mistakes did not involve illegitimate kids so she's ok with them!

Way to keep the date far away, gives you more time to think about it. not saying that it won't work out, but it'll make you two know if this is the right thing for yall and just not some infatuation thingy going on.
