I'm drinking lapacho tea.

I usually drink green tea or some chamomile blend. I spotted a packet of "green lime" tea. This is a deceiving title for the tea, since the first ingredient is really lapacho. It appears to be the root of some random tree I have never heard of. It may also be used in woodworking.

It tastes strange. That is the best word I can think of.

Should I put cream and sugar in it? Any lapacho enthusiasts?

I think it is supposed to have anti-cancer properties.

The inner bark is taken from the Tabeuia avallanedoe to make lapacho tea. The trees suffer no harm when their bark is peeled off as they grow again relatively quickly. The tree is native to the tropical rain forests between Mexico and Argentina where it can live for up to 700 years.
