I live in Wv, the capital of "rednecks, whitetrash". Most guys I know that actually are "rednecks" call themselves that. They wear shirts that says something about them being a "redneck" on it. So like everyone else in this thread Abix, I dont' see where you're coming from saying that the video the op posted is racist. Plus all the "white trash rednecks" I know would think that is funny and most of them would think it's true.

As long of you remember that Im not that OP and I didnt post the link to the racist video....

I suggest you look up the word RACIST. Since the root is RACE, I would assume one would have to be dissing RACE for that word to apply. Last time I checked, white trash wasn't considered separate from WHITE as a race. Correct me if I'm wrong, or STFU if I'm not!

Last time I checked, being JEWISH isnt a race, its a religion. Yet, making fun of someone for being a Jew still makes you racist. Sorry.

The POINT was that hippies and rednecks can be categorized similarly. They are lifestyles, nothing more, nothing less. Rednecks / hippies exist in ALL races. BTW, I'm from Michigan. That's about as far north in the continental US as you will get (excluding some northeastern states) and trust me, we have PLENTY of rednecks. And guess what? They come in all shapes, sizes, and races. Your argument that "redneck" is a racist term is fvcking absurd.

The terms "redneck" and "Caucasian", for example, are not mutually exclusive. i.e. a person can be 100% of both. However, the terms "Caucasian" and "Indian" ARE mutually exclusive, since these are different races, and a person cannot be 100% both.

Now obviously, someone may be 1/2 white and 1/2 indian, but a person cannot be 1/2 redneck. It just doesn't work like that. Get it?

You're just making yourself look stupid. If you re-read the thread, you'll find that NOBODY so far agrees with you, except, seemingly, those flawed dictionary definitions.
