I'm over it.

It's March. The temp is the highest it's going to be for a week and you you know what that temp is? 11. Eleven freaking degrees.

I want to see the sun. I want to see grass. Do birds still exist or did they all freeze to death? I'd like to see one if they are still around.

Queue up Jimmy Buffet and tell the freezer to watch it's back.

Buy a sun lamp? Look online at beautiful pictures of the beach? Snuggle with your girl beside a warm fire! :)

The average high for today's date is 40deg here. It was 18 today.

I'm starting to mind it less. At least there is sunlight until about 6:45pm now.

You live in Michigan. Where hockey is as big as it is in Canada. You know why.

Sun was back today, highs in the mid-60s. Went hiking. The wildflowers had a rough start as the Winter rains were a bust until last night. But with last night's soaking rain we might get a decent wildflower crop in a week or two.

All things considered, I'd rather die from skin cancer than from winter depression.

In general the winters aren't that bad. This year has been something else though.

Just recently bought a new house... been doing some work on it. Went there today to find that one neighbor cleared my driveway of snow and when we got there, another neighbor decided to do my sidewalk after we asked if he was the one that did our driveway. He said he wasn't, but then he did our sidewalk. Was quite nice of him.

All we had to do was the back yard driveway and our porch / walkway. Was a nice surprise.

I'm in Arkansas and it was 3 degrees along with a few inches of sleet. Terrible.

Looks like Michigan missed most of it.

I don't care about snow or sleet or ice or fire raining down....I am just sick of the cold. I want the sun!

I'm giving it 5 more days, then I grab a can of gas and start to take care of this shit myself. :(

Umm...you're not going to achieve nuclear fusion with a can of gas, unless that gas is hydrogen and the can is astronomically huge!

I have an uncle who was an engineer at NASA. I'll call him to see if he can grab me some liquid nitrogen

I'm over it.

What is wrong with you? Now all the people wanting to be smug will come in here and post pictures of their temperatures and say "Brrr...it only hit 72 outside today. Its so cold here"

:p

FYI: In late Feb GR was the third snowiest city in the US behind Erie and Buffalo and ahead of Syracuse. Rochester was next followed by Ann Arbor and Detroit. Michigan has gotten pummeled this year. As of Saturday morning it was the second snowiest winter ever for Detroit Metro Area with 79.2" of snow with the record being 93.6" in 1880. Then we got another 3-4" Saturday night and we have the rest of March to go.

For reference the average for this area is 27"

I'm waiting to slip into some of these.

I've waited to long.

Well, you could stop waiting and wear them outside if you didn't want your toes anyway.

I hear ya.

its -18C now and and won't get much warmer until Wednesday. I am sick of the cold.

The birds are still fine here though.

Spring can't come soon enough.
