im desperate for a stripped laptop.... am i wasting my time?

why wont any of the big makes sell me a stripped laptop? i have a year and a half old inspiron 7000 but i need more. i am looking for a dell (preferably) notebook with no hard drive but at least a p3 700 and a 32mb video card... is this hopeless?? please someone tell me no... where could i find one or where should i start looking? i am turning to you guys as my last hope...
 
no HD? no one sells laptops like that... no one builds their own laptop

edit: oh and 32megs of ram for vid card?!?!? hahaha, they are all on-board and uses system ram which range from 8-16

Sorry, but that is not true. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 w/ a 32MB ATI M4 and it does NOT use my system memory.
 
i already have a 20gig hard drive that i can stick in and all the software/os i need... i just dont want to waste the big bucks buying crap i already have.
