I'm continuing my search for an AWD vehicle.

AWD won't stop you from sliding and fish tailing. Just gives you better take off traction and helps going up steep hills. Once your moving they are all about the same unless you do something stupid.

Wrong.

I <3 WRX's

They're big enough for my gigantic self to fit in them and I can even shift a manual!!! (I'm 6'9", 340lbs)

yikes, how much u paid for that C Class?

may i suggest Subaru or Audi?

Around 30k loaded. Got a pretty good deal on it.

No Subaru - need something respectable, subaru is too much of a "I'm 20 year old punk" car, no offense to anybody. I checked out the audi, but 2004 models don't have Nav system so I will have to wait until 2005 come out. Also one problem I have with audi's is that there're too many on the road.
No offense, but your C class screams "wanna be yuppie poser", so I'm not sure where the respectable thing comes in.

It appears you are going to buy a vehicle based on it's "class" and rarity on the road, and not the actual quality or utility of the vehicle. That is obviously going to severely limit your choices.
Why not just stick with your overpriced german cars and find one with AWD?

Well put.

If you want a good AWD car, it's probably best not to dismiss Audi and Subaru for such terrible reasons.
