Well I was just searching YouTube on my iPhone and came up with this:

Daughtry doing Poker Face acoustic... how would you do the song?... it's a pretty simple song, but Chris manages to bring his own style and flare to a very pop-y song. This is something you can so at your open mic and it would likely be a hit with everyone since pretty much most people like at least one Lady GaGa song...

I think the difference with the "soul" thing is that you are more or less talking the words as opposed to singing them...
