I'm confused about certain programs monitoring memory usage.

According to my Asus Probe 2, I'm using 96% of my physical memory where as Norton is reporting a 100mb usage / 256. Here's a screenshot.

My system reports the same kind of differences. Asus Probe reports memory usage at 95%, but windows 98se only reports it at ~35%. My computer gets real sluggish after running a few programs for a long time and Probe shows high memory usage. I reboot, and everything is fine again.

Windows98SE only reports ~35%? Do you mean system resources? That's entirely different than total physical ram being used.

Or are you talking about Window's System Monitor's Memory Manager: Unused Physical Memory?
