Don't any of you have heaters in your offices? I know that I am in San Diego, but even we have heaters in our offices, and they are turned on maybe a few days per year.

I work in an 80+ year old building that probably still has a team of Irish immigrants stoking the coal boiler in the basement and little in the way of insulation.

That and the bastard who is next to the radiators keeps closing the valves. I swear to God I?m gonna come in one weekend and epoxy those fvckers in the open position.

We have a spot on our floor thats wicked cold in the winter. Its funny, everyone who would sit over there would be bundled up. I mean wife beater, sweater, coat, stocking hat, sometimes gloves. AND have a portable space heater running too!!
I think someone died in the corner or something, cause its always like 1 or 200 degrees colder there then in the rest of the floor.

I spent about 4 months in an apartment which had a weird cold spot in the bedroom, for some reason I always got the feeling some old person had died there.

Why don't you just ask him to open them? Wouldn't that be the logical answer to the situation? I would have to imagine that if you sit in the somewhere in the sameroom with him, you are at least friends. Unless it is a really big room, then I may be wrong. But maybe its time to get a heater, with fans and vents. Make a suggestion to whomever it concerns! I didn't know any office buildings still used radiators. Last time I saw one of those, it ws in my university's dormitory
