Guess where it is now? Knoxville,TN!!!!!!!

Why, you ask, because when we were driving "the absolutely perfect needs nothing"RV home to PA, the WHEEL FELL OFF!!

No warning, going about 70 on I-81, blam no wheel.
Well two weeks and $3200.00 later, I am leaving tomorrow to drive 10 hours to pick it up from the garage and bring it the rest of the way home.

Make sure you only pay a deposit until you get it checked out you don't want something like this to happen to you.

This does not make for a good trip!!!!!!!

You cant pay only a deposit and expect the seller to hand the car over. Its up to the buyer to have the vehicle (item) checked out BEFORE bidding. Once you bid, its contract and legally you can not weasel out of it.
People who do this kind of crap really bother me. If you have any reservations about the item you are bidding on, do your research FIRST and then bid.

On a side note, I bought my toyota truck off ebay. It was 400 miles away from me and I am still driving it about 6 months later. Fun truck, great in the snow, etc.

In my situation, I paid for the RV in full after the auction. When we ( I brought some friends to Texas to help drive it back to PA) arrived to pick it up- there were problems with it that the seller had not informed us. Minor stuff, turn signals not working, no horn, the tv antenia was broken, and a few other things were wrong. Not deal breakers, but things that the seller failed to mention to us when we bought it. He had been paid in full, and we had no bargaining power. I don't consider that weaseling out of anything. He was the one being dishonest about the condition of the RV.

I still say, see if you can work it out with the seller to take a deposit. Then when you go pick it up, and look it over, pay the rest. If the seller is not being dishonest, he shouldn't have a problem with that.

We had no way of knowing that after 4 states of driving a wheel would fall off, so that is why the deposit thing wouldn't have helped us.

In all honesty, he probably didn't know either...
