...the paranoia at work is getting to me!

The main structure will be made out of these, and my anti-people armour out of these.

What fun I will have today setting these up and deploying them!

Add to that the 7 other 17" TFTs to find homes for! ;)

AND the 5 more SFF systems that are arriving this week!!

I made myself a little batch file earlier which starts the setup files for all the programs I need to install, and for installing DC client! ;) So that should ease the pain slightly. ;):)

Good luck on the deployment soldier. Keep your fort running in top shape with a DC project of your choice.

They're work PCs.

I'm just trying now to find a way to set the start menu/desktop/office settings automatically for all users. Changing the view modes for multiple users on a PC won't be fun! :(

I'm not sure you can do that without a domain server. Or you could set it up the way you like it on one computer and use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to copy those settings onto the other computers.

Would a trojan horse be a computer labeled with an AMD chip or an Intel chip?

6x:
Celeron 2.4
256mb
40gb
Win XP Pro/Office 2003
(they are Dell GX60's)

That is those, and then either end of this week or beginning of next week there are 5 SX60's, probably about the same spec (tho they might be 2.26 or 2.4GHz P4's rather than Celerons...i've not seen the specs)

Also, i've just been told my new laptop has arrived at our other hospital, so i'll be going over there tomorrow morning to pick that up! :D

Celerons make baby kittens cry :(. Regardless though, a powerful addition to any fleet.

Wow, so you just got 11 new desktops... talk about crunching power! What project are you going to run these in?

I just noticed my mispelling in your other thread, that was pretty funny :).

Act,

Celerons make me cry too, but we've got a limited budget this year (half what we were asking for) so Celerons are what we've got, and they're better than nothing (and much better than 400MHz Celerons with 64mb ram and win98!) ;)

4 of them have so far been set up to run LifeMapper.

I'm not sure of what I will put on the others. I already have (counts on fingers...runs out of fingers...) 11 systems on DPAD, and 2 on SoB (was more, but swapped some of those to DPAD), so I'm not too sure what else to do with them yet ;)

:p
