she imed me and asked me to build her a comp to play cs. i have a few questions. she's only 16 and she's paying out of her own pocket.

so i have a couple questions,

if it's pretty much for cs, should i get 128 or 256 megs of crucial ram?

yea it would load so much quicker.. with 256mb ram..

rather than 128..

I remember the 128 ram days~

another thing, what motherboard?

she doesnt really care, so im thinking AMD. is the Epox 8KHA+ still a good one? that's the one i have but is there something better now?

i suppose the duron would work ok, but my sister has one and i tend to have problems with it sometimes. of course i am trying to do a ridiculus amount of things at the same time on it

Try the Shuttle Ak31A. It's a bit cheaper than the Epox board. Or if you really wanted to save some cash, get a good KT266A board, something that doesn't use DDR. That should cut your RAM expenses in half.

I would install a webcam into the tower, but make it hidden. It woudl be so cool, 24/7 pics:)
