Ok, so I haven't excercised much lately. I've been feeling kinda weak. So, I decided I'm going to get off my ass and start doing something. I picked jogging, it's cheap, conveinient, and doesn't require a whole lot of training.
Anyway, I picked out a loop to run (nerd part is related to this, I'll get back to it) that I thought was about 2 miles. I tried running it for the first time today, and damn. I barely got the first mile done, then walked maybe 1/4 mile, then ran another half mile or so, and I was tired.... Anyway, there's these pull up bars on the side of the path, right near where I stopped running the second time. I thought I'd give them a try, I can barely do 2 pull-ups
I walked the rest of the way back from the pull-up bar.
Here's the nerdy part: After doing this loop, I wanted to know exactly how long it was. So, I grabbed some aerial photos off mapquest, made a collage of them in Photshop, and drew scale marks on them. here's the picture. Each red mark is 100yards long, and each space between red marks is 100 yards long. The whole loop comes out to be 2.2 miles (+/- 5% or so.. and I'm not a bad guesser

I barely did 1.5 miles.... I guess I'll get back in shape with more practice.
