Rented Memento from the dorm library last night - great flick, if a little confusing.

Well, a good movie is a series of still photographs, shown in sequence very quickly, over the course of 60 or more mintues, that causes a positive reaction emotionally from the person who is watching it.

Examples?

Patton
True Grit
Monty Python's Holy Grail
The Game
Midway
2001: A Space Oddessy

I second Brotherhood of the Wolf.

If you're just looking for a popcorn movie and nothign something emotionally touching or deep or something like that. I will believe this is so since you retned Murder by Numbers.

I disagree... I rented Spiderman last night, and thought it was really boring... except for the special effects that was cool, the story and plot totally sucks and the whole movie was very predictable... I was very disappointed...

Murder by Numbers was the worst movie I have seen in quite some time. I feel ashamed to admit I picked it up. My dad bought the Band of Brothers DVD set, so I think I am just going to stick to it. I may get something tommorow morning though.

If you're in the mood for a campy sci-fi flick with flashes of absolute brilliance, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension would be an excellent choice. It's even got some notable actors:

John Lithgow
Jeff Goldblum
Peter Weller
Christopher Lloyd
Ellen Barkin
Vincent Schiavelli
Yakov Smirnoff
Jamie Lee Curtis
Robert Ito

It recently came out on DVD.
