I'm bored, here's 9 minutes of drumming. You'll like it*

The first one is good, second one is pretty good, third one I broke a stick and my crash cymbal fell over, so it's generally crappy. I made a few mistakes but I don't care 😛 I had to stop after as I broke a stick, as I said before. This is all edited into one file so each 3 minutes is a section. I was too lazy to put in fades and crap and the shareware recorder is limited to 3 minutes (hence 3 minute sections) so each 3 minutes you will all of a sudden hear a beat stop then a pause which is me returning to the set. I made some mistakes but I'm tired and lazy. All improv. Why? Boredom.
Link (try not to rape it too hard, it's cox):

Not too bad....it's a shame you're not playing to music though.... 😛 The tempo's everywhere, but you definitely got some skillz. 😉

Yeah... the funky hihat thingys that you hear like twice is actually a very rushed beginning of eye of the tiger. I might make one tomorrow, except I'll actually try to make it error free 🙂 As for the tempo, heh, well, just trying out different grooves. I wish I could play those double bass grooves at a decent speed without a double pedal (I have a single), but they sound pretty good at the tempo right now.

The drummer for my band wouldnt touch a double bass pedal. He worked at it until he got double bass speed with a single bass pedal 🙂

He rocks.

Your not bad either, but you there is room for some improvement. You should either find a band to play with, or just play with cds, cause if you play all wild like that all the time, it will be hard for you to fit into a band.

That is if you ever want to get in a band....

Nah, probably no band for me. What I need is a cd full of pep band songs with no drummer... that would be great. Any such thing exist?

pretty good.

You should get together with a bassist and a guitarist and just jam.

<-hasn't played guitar in a loooong time 🙁

Hrm....i won't be too critical. Why don't you seriously try to lay down a groove and and not go all over the place. It's hard for me to appreicate this randomness.

Some parts are cool. But you keep going back to that one theme you start out with in the first set. Can you get away from it?

Yeah, after listening to it 10000000 times the original does get kind of stupid. I like the double bass beat, and the 24th note fill was sweet. Can you name any particular beats/grooves/fills/sections you liked? Bedtime for me, I'll see if I can do better tomorrow if I have the time.

Dude, whatever. He sounds good. I would know. I've been to international drum conference workshops. I've played with world-renown drummers. My band has played concerts in one of Oregon's largest in-door arenas to a packed house.

... so nyah 😛

I've been playing for 6, but ive had a few lessons here and there.

Cool! 🙂 One of the guys that I'm now mentoring under (cuz I want to stay self-taught) has been playing for 36 years. 😀
