25% on electronics, 50% on speakers, TV's differ from brand to brand and depending on the size, but in general 30%

Damn. :Q

Your "Anything but sony" answer isn't good enough. Why? Do you see the most returns on Sony products or something? Tell us more. Otherwise it just sounds like your opinion. Or is it?

Does the fact that Klipsch now sells through Best Buy "cheapen" their brand image at all?

(I think it does: Klipsch mingling with the likes of Bose, Sony, KLH, and JBL?)

No, we dont see too many sonys come back...but they are overpriced. I would and have bought toshiba over sony. More features for less money makes sense to me.

Recommend me a stereo system for my car. It should play MP3s, and must have manual seek on the radio. Auto seek won't cut it, cuz I live way out of town, and reception is weak. Auto seek doesn't pick up the radio.

no...thats actually a huge step for BB.... Best Buy doesnt whore out audio too much. It will be like their relationship with sony and monster cable...klipsch has some really good stuff, but from what I hear BB wont carry the full line, aka, the good stuff

Should I buy a 36" 4:3 HDTV or a Big Screen 16:9 RP HDTV?

About half of what I watch is in widescreen and that stretch mode that 16:9s do looks like crap IMO.

go widescreen and be cool like everyone else!

really though...everything is going widescreen...and most good sets have the stretch plus mode that just stretches the edges of the picture and leaves the middle alone. Works great for most things. Check out Mitsu's new line up.

What about a home stereo system?

I was browsing the stereos at Fred Meyer.. there were a couple I would consider, but I couldn't tell if any of them had surround sound. I want a stereo that I can hook up at least 1 more pair of speakers. I hate the bubbly look of most new stereos. I also hate the pre-set equalizers. :| What happened to manual levels?!

What can you recommend? Right now I have an old-ass Studio Standard by Fisher with 2 Intrada 10.3 cabinets each with a 10", 4" and 3" speakers, 30 - 20,000kHz, Crossover at 1.5 & 5kHz, 8 Ohms. It sounds OK, but it's really old.

I'd like to be able to use these speakers along with my new stereo, and possibly some other ones I have.

self bump/bragging

today I had someone come in looking for a filter for their fridge....$4k later they left with a 65" mitsubishi, HD satelite system and a really nice onkyo receiver...I really like my job
