because im the lowest in seniority at my newspaper and no one else wants to photograph it. 🙁 🙁 🙁
This sucks.
Although I did tour their stage today at Heinz field (pittsburgh), where they will be playing, since its the first event at the new stadium. I gotta say, their set is VERY impressive. Main stage is about 95 feet tall (we went up-a first for journalists!!!), and during the performance, they "fly" via cables about 150 feet down to a second stage. The media fact sheet says the whole shabang cost about 10 million and another million/week to run and maintain the tour.
Crappy or not in music, I cant deny the fact that they have the money and are using it to the fullest.
Interesting notes:
188 speakers
over 400 independent moving lights with computers in each one
950,000 watts of power generated-enough to power a small city
oh well. kill me now, and dont forget to stuff me with earplugs. 🙁
