Why shouldn't she hit you over the head from behind as a payback to teach you the proper respect for her? This too is a "time honored" way for a woman to deal with a wifebeater because we all know it sucks when we are taken advantage of by loved ones who have a physical edge on us. This goes without saying... if a female starts attacking you physically the rules fly out the window and I would hit her hard enough to insure she would never think to do it again.

But this woman was just sitting there and he started slapping the sh1t out of her while she just cowered. Oh well, I've seen much worse in my life but that was just something I saw today and felt like sharing, lol.

They are equal in that they should be treated with an equal amount of respect. But because women are physically weaker, the way in which you express that respect must differ. At least, in my opinion.
