Went on a cruise this week, and left the 'puter on to crunch while I was gone. I would've had a dump of about 50 or so, but I thnk the system crashed about 4 hours after I left the house, and ended up with only 2. So much for my race.....

Gonna have to check to see what the problem is. I've been having power flucuations here for a couple of weeks, and we could have had a power failure (of sorts). I've mentioned it to the landlord, but she doesn't care about that. She just want's the rent.....

Might have to move soon.. can't live in a place that the computer won't work in......

Anyway....

Back to the crunching.

It sucks when sh!t like that happens. :frown:

I had a similar production-limiting problem, but it wasn't caused by the same problem. What happened was that my Win2k Server that was running RRAS got fvcked up somehow (the server still works fine... sort of; my parents use it right now for internet and MS Word, but RRAS won't work right, so the modem is in another computer, which runs ICS). Anyway, how this happened, I'm not sure, but it happened right after I left for vacation for a week. This meant, of course, that my F@H clients were stuck with finished WUs that they could not send, and - since the client can not queue work units - they could not download new work either. I was pissed, and vowed not to run any mission-critical remote access servers on a Windows-based OS ever again. :|

Sorry to hear about that BobTheWizard, it's like clockwork sometimes, you leave the computer running unattended for days doing what your rig does fine on a daily basis and boom! something goes wrong 🙁

BTW, welcome back BobTheWizard 🙂
