and too my amazement (sp?)... after three weeks of inactivity on the forums... my post per day only dipped to 23.56 :Q
being away for three weeks got me to realize that there is life outside the forums. yup... there are many other things out there... like cars.com.... carsdirect.com.... autotrader.com... even ebay motors. basically i been spending most of my waking hours looking for a new ride, since my old one is dead. i just wanna say... car shopping is a pain in the arse. either ppl want too much, they're too far, or there are some quirks that make me feel uncomfortable about the car (ie - salvaged title, REALLY high milage, etc). everytime i found a semi decent deal... the car is already sold, or the snipers on ebay jack up the price way up. then finally, when i wasn't expecting... i ended up being the high bidder on an auction, but the auction did not meet the reserve. the seller emailed me telling me his reserve, and we worked something out on the side.
so i went way up to massachusetts to pick up the car, and have been spending the past week learning the ropes of driving a 5-speed. it's kinda embarassing stalling in traffic being skilled in operating automatic transmission vehicles... managing the brakes AND the clutch felt like it was too much responsibility... often times i felt confused... like i didn't know which pedal to step on first. quite nerve-racking... especially when u r already on the road. i think i am getting the hang of it tho... but i still stall every now and then. i'm avoiding inclines as if it were the plague! so here they be... a few pix. please excuse the filthy floormats... i'm in the process of looking for replacements (preferably same color, stock honda mats).
