Hey everyone. I'm on my schools computer right now, and they have about 10 macs and 10 pc's set up for 24/7 connections. I'm not sure if the computers stay on 24/7 but any CPU power is good right??

So I have some few questions ... I'm a freshie at school and I don't want to make a fool out of myself with the Library staff :) in my first month or so. It is a she, prob early 50's (the head librarian) ... How should I approach her about putting Rc5 on these comps ...??

Also, where is the "start up" folder for Macs ... so if I do by some chance get Rc5 on these babies, I will be able to get rc5 to startup on well startup :p

Also, I just found out that during 9th pierod (right now) they have 10 comps set up for a LAN and right now behind me there is a massive Quake 2 mini Lan going on ... Cool huh??

Thanks a lot guys ... I'll be back on in a few hours when I get home ...

One suggestion someone here mentioned; don't use the word "Cracking". They automatically think its a bad thing. :)

Have fun assimilating those systems.

BTW, G4's are excellent at RC5. ~8Million keys/s for a G4 450 I think.

they arent G4's but they arent the real old macs. I think they could be 1-2 years old now ...

I'd reccomend that you make note of the fact that it's a scientific project; the library might win $1000; and that it'll keep the CPU temp stable.
