It's the only good looking compact truck left on the market. Nissan and Toyota have gotten too damn big!!

I'm thinking about buying the 2007 or 20008 SPORT 4x4 or the FX4 loaded. What do you guys think about the Ford Ranger? or am I a crazy Asian? 🙂
 
Latest I heard in a few of the Peterson owned magazines is that Ford is in talks of cancelling the Ranger as not enough sales. Then the article also stated that ford can make up to nearly 18k in profit on a fully optioned Superduty. Pretty much the cost of a ranger.

If I could fit in one though I would buy a fully optioned FX4....

seeing as how you can get an F-150 for $12,000-$13,000, i'm guessing most opt for the F-150 over the ranger.

I like Mazda but they don't have all the options I wanted....like the leather seats and tremor package.
 
I have many Azn friends 🙂 One of my best friends from Taiwan is crazy about his Tacomas (he's had several).

That said, the Ranger is a fine choice if you're looking for a small truck. Have fun!
 
Might want t look at slightly older ones to save a few bucks. The Ranger has been unchanged FOREVER.

Theres a guy in my home town with a 2004 lifted tacoma...he took the "MA" off the tailgate, so it now says "TACO". 😀

Little more on insurance
Harder to park
Fit in the garage

Most people can get by with a smaller truck. I loved my Ranger as a right sized vehicle.
Why buy a Civic when you can buy a Buick for just a little more?

I tend to agree. But its true that prices are larger trucks seem to have come down to the point where you think about spending just a little bit more. If you're also using the truck for commuting, then the gas is going to add up. And I suspect a lot of the parts are going to cost you a little more for a bigger vehicle. Tires would cost more as well.
