Well I just bought myself a home theather, and an xbox, and i've been trying to set everything up so that i can get digital surround sound. To test this I was using the toy story DVD which had a thx dolby digital sound test, for some odd reason, i culdn't get the rear speakers and the sub come up on the test. I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working, adjusting the settings on the reciever, reading through the manual and just messing around with everything. Turns out that I had to turn on Dolby Digital and DTS on the xbox, it was disabled. MAN, hours of my life wasted for soemthing pretty stupid too...now I have to catch up on my HW. Damn, school sucks.

HAHA!!!! dude, who's bragging, the story wouldn't seem right if i didn't put that in. my system is pretty pos anyways.

JVC reciever, klipsch center and front, psb sub, and warfedale loudpanel rear (these haven't showed up yet, i'm using some old klh's for the rear for now.

But when you get a new Reciever and DVD player, both need to have DTS turned on. It's a pain. Wonder how many people have DTS recievers but don't get a DTS signal. Oh and sometimes you need to select it on the dvd. another pain.

its nice, haven't had much time to break them in tho, been too busy with school, i can't wait for a long 3 day weekend, then i'll do some serious testing.
