Try to sell or trade your card for something similar from nvidia or just wait for the next gen nvidia cards and you'll be happy. I'm doing the same with my 4870 1GB.

i would really love to run 140v AC at 10 amps into the motherboard power socket of my 680i some day. unfortunately it's also the mainboard of my primary system right now, so that's not really a good idea just yet. it will be quite a fireworks show though when it's time to go!
