Ever since I found a place in town that has Coke from Mexico made with real sugar (in a glass bottle no less) and not that HFCS crap, I can't stop drinking it. It's $1.25/bottle but it tastes much better. If only it wouldn't make me fat and diabetic...

Plan your trips to the store to involve a walk that exceeds the caloric content of the Coke. Then enjoy your pleasures.

and that's the 'ideal' outcome with your foreign stuff, essh ;)

Is it that much better then the "crap" they sell here, and isn't the stuff here like a buck for a 20oz bottle, more in other places you're probably paying kinda close to price...
And at least it's still cheaper then beer at a bar

I'd like to try it... I've been keeping an eye out for the infamous 'glass bottle mexi-coke' at no avail

I don't think I've ever had real Coca Cola made with sugar and not corn syrup. I've heard about it, but I thought the only place you could get it was the Coca Cola plant in Atlanta. Are there any chain stores that sell it in the US?

It tastes better to me. It's not really that expensive I guess. It just seems that way because you can get cans at the store for ~$0.35/can in packs.

And if you're looking for it, try Mexican ethnic food stores (or whatever they're called). The place I found it is basically a market that imports stuff from Mexico and sells it.

You can try this. Its the first link I pulled from doing a google search on "mexican coke". I have no idea if the store is any good, but you get the idea.

Try Cheerwine. Bascially Dr. Pepper with real sugar. Hard to find though, so you can remain addicted while you hunt for it and not become a diabetic.

They have Pepsi in glass bottles too, but sadly it's made with HFCS.

I can get those exact mexican glass bottles at a nearby White Hen Pantry. I live in the Chicago area of IL.

You should look into that.

"Irn Bru" is more popular than Coca-Cola in Scotland.
http://www.darachweb.com/food/IrnBru.html
Available in 16.9 oz bottles.

Scotland's second national drink (the first is whisky!). IRN-BRU is a non alcoholic, carbonated soda, tasting a little citrus-y, and very good! Unlike other soft drinks, IRN-BRU is made with real cane sugar, NOT icky-sweet corn syrup fructose. People actually tell us that it tastes much better.

Irn Bru is awesome. Made with real iron girders or something. Or at least that's how the ads went, back in the day.
