I'm about to install WinXP

i'm ready to upgrade 98 to xp.
where do i start?
I would like to wipe everything I have right now and start fresh.
I understand XP can use both older HD formating and new formating?
I would like to use newer , not fat32.
so do i start with formating hd to fat32 then install winxp, will winxp change the hd format during installation?

make cdrom bootable
put in winxp cd
boot from cdrom
set partitions
format for ntfs
install
ta da

xp should do all the formatting for you, just select it once you tell it what partitions you want to use (there will be a question that says do you want to upgrade/restore, something to that effect. just hit esc (it'll tell you to) if you want to do a fresh install). just follow the prompts. if you have a scsi/raid card you'll need to hit f6 and install your drivers for it.
