I'm about to destroy my computer if this isn't fixed....

Ok, what is messed up with my Windows XP?

Almost every time I get sent some images through email I put them in a folder and try to view them... the folder comes up and then the icons start displaying for the images and then about 2-3 images down it stops and the windows explorer closes... no error, nothing.

If I open photoshop and try to open the images as soon as I go to the directory that contains the images it starts to load the icons and then blam, closes photoshop with no error.

SO WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!?

It can't be that the images are corrupt, because it happens all the time if I have more than say 5 images in a directory. Is it my videocard drivers? My hard drive? I'm using hte new 43.00 detonators...

Anyone have a suggestion? I AM DESPERATE TO FIX THIS!!

ca you try repairing windows xp? i know you can do this for windows 2k

do you have a *Virus* program running? if not get one quick and run a scan

this might sound silly, but why don't you save all your material, create a new user and transfer only the required stuff there.
Definitely worth doing before format c: or destroying your comp
