Hi, this project is for my computer imaging class.

It is due in a few hours and i just started. :D

Our goal is to make something surreal..

"Create an image in Photoshop full of imagination. Expand your creative ideas and create image that is unexpected or image that surprises."

I am pretty lost, but still came up with this.

I just took a close up picture of my eye, played with the saturation.. My original goal was to change the reflection in the eye.. i tried but it didn't come out that well... i used a random NASA space picture.. Ugh, i still need to fix the layer masks.

ANYWAYS, Picture Here

It would be cooler if you had some sort of image in the eye... like if you have the eye color blue/green, and then had some sort of image of an island or something tropical in it, just barely visible...

As it is now, it isn't really that impressive, you would probably get a C, or B- (donno if this is HS or college class...)

something like this would take your professor literally 10 minutes to complete...i think you should definitely try to add a reflection in the eye.

I have a better idea.

How about you make that eye, without using the real picture
Make a mosaic of other stock images to create the illusion of that original eye.

uh, all i did was add scanlines (overused lame effect ;x) and found a picture of the sun from the NASA website.

(this class is a intro photoshop class, most people are probably going to be lens flare crazy)

You could mess around with the stained-glass filter on the iris only. That could be interesting.

I like this idea, but it isn't very original.

Maybe you could try hiding some haunting images in the iris by messing with the saturations.

The eye motif has been overworked by a million and a half aspiring art / design students, I suggest going a different direction completely.

There was a guy a while back that had some fantastic surreal photographic work. He blended multiple photos together (not digitally mind you) and came up with some great scenes. I wish I could remember his name....
