If you're asking what a crossfire edition card is; It's the master card of a pair used in a Crossfire motherboard.

crossfire = sli

except that in crossfire, you have to use the external dongle cable to connect both cards

on top of that, you can't just buy any two cards, one has to be crossfire edition which is the master card that would allow you to enable crossfire mode
