Anyone else like that? Most if not all of my friends here in Texas (yes...yes I know) love going to some hole in the wall bar to watch the Cowboys but I'm not a fan at all. Hell I even play flag football with my coworkers for fun for some YMCA thing but for the most part I find football boring. Most professional sports are just 'meh' to me at best. I like college sports a little more but still even then the same. Do any of you feel the same? It makes hanging out with my friends difficult during football season since that's all they want to do.

I hate football but I love baseball.

September is always torture since everyone has football on the brain again and it's all they talk about.

I'm not into football or many other professional sports either. This past Summer Olympics was the most sports I've ever watched.

meh im not into watching football at all either. ill get together with friends and watch the bowl games, but thats just for the hang out for me. i could care less who is playing or winning. been that way for me since i stopped playing football. going to a stadium doesnt change that for me either, used to get kick ass box seats as well as almost sideline seats from work a lot and took customers/ family to games. still not interested. football watching doesnt make you a man, it makes you a couch potato on weekends.

Being in TX, it's bound to be more of a problem than about anywhere else in the US, I suppose. Here in CA, much less a problem. I'm more into sports than a lot of people, but I haven't gone to a pro football game in decades and am not tempted. The NFL teams around here truly suck now, anyway (Raiders, 49ers). I won't even bother watching them on TV these days... too too depressing. My last girlfriend was adamant that watching sports on TV was a complete waste of time. She never had any problem with my playing sports, though. I was playing golf at the time (I remain convinced that watching the pros play golf has a major positive impact on my golf game, when I get around to playing). When asked for her opinion of NBA players she said one thing only: "their knuckles scrape the ground!"

I enjoy a good hockey game and I watch the Stanley Cup, but i couldn't care less what happens in Football, Basketball, or Baseball. I haven't watched the Super Bowl in 25-years.

You think that's bad, I don't watch TV at all. I'll occasionally stream shows from Hulu or Netflixx, but to put it simply my TV hasn't been even turned on for anything other than a DVD or a video game in the entire past year. One time a poll service called me up and asked how many hours of TV I watch per week, I said "none - I don't watch TV". He paused for a moment and asked me "You don't watch TV!? Do you own a TV?", I responded with "yes I own a TV, but I don't watch it" to which he sounded shocked.

I don't mind playing catch with the football though, that's the funny part. I can go out with my buddies and toss the football around for 2 hours until I'm drained of energy, then not watch a single football game unless I'm at someone's house who happens to be watching it.

I am fairly big into NCAA basketball the most. But beyond that, not many other sports. I'd rather play the games than watch them. Professional sports seems to be so lackluster like they are just there for money. I grew up in a European environment and my relatives hardly ever watched/talked about sports at all. They talked a little about futbol but that's about it.

I used to be in a college band and I loved going to the games then so I'll agree with you on this *insert giant band dork here* but on T.V. and pro-style is just 'meh'

I rather hate sports (all of them). I've watched just about any sport there is on TV, and have attended football games, basketball games, baseball games, soccer games, etc. Can't stand any of them. Yeah, the isolation really hits home during football season. :p

Yeah football is boring. I live in New England so the whole Tom Brady thing was good to see. Now this rabid Patriots Patriots Patriots crap being stuffed down my throat everywhere I turn seems to be calming down somewhat.

I like listening to a game of baseball on the radio and enjoy watching sports on occasion, but the level that some of these football obsessed people take it is beyond reasonable and it's quite nauseating. I've seen grown men get into brawls over football. One guy here got into a huge fight at a local bar because some out of towner said Tom Brady is a i love you. Ahahaha, like Tom Brady gives a crap that you threw a chair in some lameass sportsbar because some other meathead said something. Hero for no cause, bigtime loser behavior. It's like professional wrestling with the homoerotic man-worship and drama queen antics.

I've had enough football. Screw it.

qft, people that dont like sports won't shut the fuck up about how its a waste of time and how much better they are than the rest of us brainless idiots that like sports.

It's because you're expected to pull for the Cowboys.

If you had a more tolerable franchise to back, you might be a football fan.
