I am not sure on the amount, but you are given a limit on the amount of income gained by prizes, and awards without having to declare them for income tax.

Lol, the funny thing is that I must have won around 150 itunes but can't win any sort of ipod to save my life.


I also won a $900 baby stroller and a babygap gift card a couple nights ago 🙂

Strange prize. 6 unlimited music accounts. That's like one person going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and paying for 6 people.

The truth ? I don't always sleep well and entering contests is a quiet, safe way to keep myself from totally losing my mind at 3am 🙂

Congrats, luck you! I always wanna hear about the winners of such contests. I wish the people running the contests would always list the winners. Someone should interview you on TV or something...

I was almost a grand prize winner once. I was entered into the Etrade You've Got Mail trading contest back in '00 (?). Going into the last week i was killing the field. With some poor advice from my mother, i sold only half of my holdings instead of cashing out the whole shabang. The market dropped a day before the last and i ended up in 4th place by $50 in my portfolio. First place prize was $10k. Second place was $5k. Third place was $2500 i think. I got a t-shirt which i wear to go to sleep at night. =(

I still hold it against her to this day. I was in college then and really didn't know any better. oh well...
