Oh my goodness, 10 injections?! :( I'm so sorry, that sounds terrible. How are you feeling now?

Rump - I just looked up Humira and it looks like it's for RA. I don't have that. I don't know if they would use it for fibromyalgia or not.

MrsBugi - Not feeling much better today, no. I don't konw if it's because I was poked and prodded by my NP and then by the student, the injections themselves, or just being in a flare. I was supposed to go to a few places today, but that's not gonna happen. :(

Arthritis sucks it.
It's tough to keep your sense of humor when you hurt all the time.
You'll see better days, keep your chin up!!!

FVCK rainy weather. I'm hurting like all hell. I had to go to the pain management clinic today and had a total of 10 injections in my back. Yes, 10. I had 5 injections to numb the areas and 5 trigger point injections. We keep wanting to be able to do shots in my knees and in my SI joint, but something else always hurts worse and I can't get there. UUUUGGGGHHHH

I wanted to go to fvcking Wal-Mart or something to look for a new winter coat since I've lost weight and no longer have a winter coat. I wanted to shop for other stuff, but NOOOOOO my body has to betray me yet again.

Sorry, but I needed to complain somewhere. I'll probably cross post this, but damnit, I'm tired of hurting!!!! I called Tim after the injections and started crying. I'm a mess. :(
sorry to hear that. when things are at their worse there is no where to go but up.

chin up girl. :)

Doh! Someone up top said they think you have RA, so I was going off of that... I don't know what fibromyalgia is.

Humira works really well for me, and I don't have RA either.

Good luck.

LOL Thanks. :)

Misle - Yeah, it probably would. I lived in California for 17 years and it wasn't as bad even though I still hurt. However, I love it here and my fiance's job is here.

speg - Still no sun here, either.

Valhalla - I've still never smoked marijuana. Sometimes it sounds good, but it's not something I want to try. And...here in Virginia, it's not legal.

oldsmoboat - Thank you. I will be better. I just wish it was now. lol I haven't had a flare-up in a while, so that's a good thing. This is my first in a pretty long while.

shilala - I'm just really pissed off because I want to do stuff and I can't. It's so annoying. Sometimes my sense of humor stays and sometimes it takes a hike when I'm like this. lol

mosh - Definitely. And, I know there are a ton of people out there that have it WAY worse than I do.

Well, I'm tired of the pain. I called my primary care doctor's office this morning. Unfortunately, he's out of the office this week, but I have an appointment with another doctor in the office this afternoon. Hopefully that doc can help. I wasn't sure whether to see my PCP or my rheumatologist, so we'll see if I made the right call.

*Sigh*

hzl, have you been tested for lyme disease? You should check into that..many of the symptoms are the same as fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is a bit of a medical hot-button...some doctors swear by, others don't think it exists at all. I'm no doctor, but I've been married to two women who were diagnosed with it, and depending on what doctor they went to, the treatments and advice were all over the board. Basically, it's an umbrella to cover symptoms that are common in women who are depressed, don't sleep well, and don't regularly excercise. I'm not saying you are any of the above, and in fact if you have arthritis, particularly rhematoid (sp?) then you are going to have issues anyway.

Good luck with your conditions.

I don't think I've been tested for lyme disease. I've been diagnosed with fibro by at least 4 or more doctors. I test positive for most tender points. :( I'm just generally achy all over most of the time. I've been tested for rheumatoid arthritis, but I don't have it. (That's a good thing.) I've been told I have osteoarthritis in my left knee probably because I've had surgery in it. I know some doctors don't believe in fibromyalgia and some do. So far, my docs out here do.

EDIT:

Mojoed - I hope your sis is okay. My best friend has RA and it isn't a fun thing to have.

Ornery - Compared to other people, I don't have anything to complain about as well. I feel bad sometimes for complaining, but sometimes it helps. :( Thanks for the hug. :)

GuitarDaddy - I've had several MRIs and I've never been told I have MS. I had a brain tumor when I was 18, so MRIs were a normal thing for me. I'll have to look at the symptoms. I hope your wife does well. *HUG for her*

Ya I am ok I guess, really I just got used to living in constant pain. Noone really understands and everyone gets sick of hearing me complain I am sure. I just live in silent agony most of the time. But I'll make it! ;)
