I'm a firearm manufacturer. Ask me anything.

So I'm kinda bored tonight, figured I'd get on the ATOT and see if anyone had any firearm related questions that an industry professional can answer for you.

What I will cover:

Federal Laws
Legal Machinegun Ownership
My experince with certain firearms

What I will not cover:

State Laws
Illegal Machinegun Ownership
Anything related to counterstrike.

Fire away.

Can't you manufacture me one of these?

i'm not sure what being a firearms manufacturer has to do with the topics you will cover...

What manufacturer do you work for? What do you manufacture exactly? What is your position?

I'm guessing the op does not work for a firearms manufacturer.

Good luck

In the time of O'bama's presidency, have you seen demand for firearms increase or decrease?

If you even pay the tiniest amount of attention to firearms news you don't need an "industry insider" to answer the 1st 2 questions. It's a definite increase.

I want to get a shotgun for home defense. What would you recommend?

There are many popular options. Remington 870 is something everyone likes, parts are easy to come by and they are very useful.

Also useful: Mossberg 590/500 etc.

Do you give out free samples?

I charge $100 to rent my machineguns. If you buy it, I knock $100 off. I think its fair.

do you have bad dreams of getting shot with one of your creations?

Nope, but now that thought is going to fester.

Before the election there was a huge demand bump. Now prices are still up there but they are in unrealistic territory.

Ammo is a huge problem. Nobody has any. It might as well be made of unobanium. Shelves at Walmart have been bare for a very long time.

However I am seeing some things free up. I managed to order 20,000 rounds of 9mm recently and I can actually sell it at less than Walmart and still make money. Maybe things are starting to get better!

Can't you manufacture me one of these?

That would be a destructive device. My license says Manufacturer - NON DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE

First things first: what do you manufacture?

I rebuild machineguns.

Manufacturers have to abide by the same laws as dealers when they buy and sell and they have to abide by ATF regs regarding manufacturing - required markings, additional recordkeeping, etc.

I am self employed.

Thread title: I'm a firearm manufacturer. Ask me anything.

Paulney: What do you manufacture?
OP: I rebuild machineguns.

I believe the term is "epic fail".
you're not the same guy that made the other threads, like "I'm a cop, ask me anything"?

I know you won't answer any counter-strike related questions, but I am dying to know, is it a bad idea to bunny hop in real life with a loaded M4A1? Is there a good chance I can shoot myself in the nuts?

Well, it's pointless, isn't it. You offer the "ask anything" invite, then lay a groundwork of what you will or will not cover....

What I'd like to ask you isn't within your guidelines... but ask I will - what I really need to know:

How is babby made?

What is your stance on the Sigma/Glock debate? Do you feel the sigma's are just a cheaper glock? I mean, whats the real difference performance wise?
