OP, I'm curious ... where is your "farm" and how much acreage do you own.

I ask because I hope to retire soon enough and this is my preferred retirement lifestyle.

Thanks ...

Those are very cool looking. Wonder how they taste.

Planted in late October? Seems odd, how long until harvest?

We haven't tried it yet. If we get an ugly one, we'll eat it. We're harvesting now. We planted back in July.

Isin't it kind of late to be growing stuff, or are you doing this indoors?

We planted with the Summer rains. It is still in the 80s (28C) here.

Our farm is in the front yard with 0.000826 acres in corn. With the lemon, lime, grapefruit, calamansi, pomegranates, fig, chiltepins, and chives we're at 0.006 acres under cultivation.

Looks good man not bad for a first attempt. If you had some bug trouble try a Pyrethrin based product next year and see if that doesn't help with the control. I had a terrible white fly problem this year on my sweet corn to so maybe it was just a bad year for bugs.
Also if you're looking to increase your yield size for next season remember corn or maize like you grew takes A LOT of fertilizer to produce decent sized ears.

Beautiful ears though especially for corn. I love the coloring on the kernels it almost looks like a stained glass window.
