I'm a fan of a quite computer!

I'm looking for a fairly quite computer case that can still move some air. any body know of a case that runs the fans according to what the temperatures are? I don't want the fans just running full blast all the time. It's unneeded noise some of the time.

You can add thermal controls to your existing fans, or replace your fans with new fans. Here's one possibility:

I've found that it is usually enough to just have low RPM case fans, and have the CPU/GPU fans ramp up as needed.

I've found that it is usually enough to just have low RPM case fans, and have the CPU/GPU fans ramp up as needed.

The "ramp up" is coordination of temperature sensor and power supply to the fan (voltage or PWM). Motherboards do have varying amount of connectors for fans that do have the control logic. Some allow software (like Speedfan) to adjust the logic, but other are BIOS-only.

When that is not enough, there are separate fan speed controllers. More expensive units do adjust the speed based on temperature. However, I do not recall seeing a case having that as default option.
