Dude!

You got a #%&(*@&$(*&@#*(&$(*&@# LCD display!

I don't think you can return it, so yes, I do think a GeForce 2 would work, as long as it has a digital-out.

Mmm... hehe wanna sell it to me? :p Sounds like you got an LCD display. You need to find a GeForce card that has a Flat Panel monitor output.

Yeah I'm a clueless idiot when it comes to monitors. Well not that clueless. Yeah the maxium suggested bid for the monitor was like 1400, so I assume it can't be that bad. I'll sell only if I can't find a card that will utilize it. Does anyone know of any video cards out there I would be able to use?

It is not likely that this is an LCD monitor because it has a degause button. An LCD monitor has nothing to degause.

Navigator 3D? Isn't that what AOpen called their Nvidia line of vid cards? As far as a monitor requiring a certain video card, that sounds like a load of crap to me.

lowtech is on the money. What you got is a fixed frequency monitor. This were made about 6 to 10 years ago. It was expensive as heck when they first came out. Now it ain't worth crap.

Yes, you have to use the vid card that came with it. Or find another fixed freq video card. This monitor it not compatible with todays multi=frequency monitors. You are locked in with the video card. I doubt you will find a speedy video card with a fixed frequency DAC.

I had a friend get stuck with one of these too. He thought he was getting a great deal for a 19" monitor on onsale. But now it just sits in his basement.

ok it's a fixed frequency monitor, guess it's not that great from what i understand. It seems that there only a handful of vendors out there making video cards for this monior. please tell me if this sounds right.

This monitor is not that old. If the video spec references AGP then it can't be more than 4 years old. Also note that it DOES support Horizontal Frequencies from 70-85. Proly only requires a BNC cable and away she'll go.!!

There is a chance that you can use a multi-freq video card if it will generate the refresh rate and resolution that you need for this pig of a monitor. Give it a try with the correct monitor.inf file for the monitor. It will either work or it won't.

It's not so bad for certain limited uses. My friend has one of these (got it for 150) for a cheap dual monitor workstation (with a Matrox G200) and it works fine. With Matrox's powerdesk software you can adjust the desplay to the exact specs you want.
