I'm a democrat but I have some republican values. So what the hell am I? Would I be considered a Independent?

btw... Liberal gets thrown around much to often. Just because someone's a democrat doesn't mean that he/she is a liberal.

edit: pre-Bush, I was a liberal Republican. if the Neocons ever get exorcised out of the party, I might change my affiliation back to the Republican party.

You just said you are a democrat, so that's what you are. Maybe you are a conservative democrat. Or a liberal republican. Independent typically means that you don't affiliate yourself with either party.

I voted againt a few DNC backed measures in CA today. You can be a Democrat and not be a sheep.
