I'm a Dad!

On Thursday August 24th at 4:44 p.m., my wife gave birth to our first child, Keira Noelle 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

The labor was short, we went into the hospital at 1:00 p.m., and less than four hours later it was over. Mother and baby are both doing extremely well, and we've even been able to go on a couple of decently long walks over the weekend.

First child and it only took 4 hours! Sweet, and congrats.

Yeah, my wife was pretty happy with it, even though it was pretty intense. A long shower during labor really seemed to help.

OMG BABIES!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG You gotta snuggle the baby ALL the time cuz they're really fluffy and they've always gotta be warm or else they'll be sad and sad babies are really really poopy 🙁

On a side note, aren't digital cameras wonderful? Keira's going to have her childhood documented in realistic digital photo, unlike us older folks who only have fuzzy photos or worse, black and white photos, to hang on to.

How wonderful. Best wishes to you and your wife on your new family!
She is so beautiful! 🙂

There's nothing more beautiful than the sight of a healthy baby, even one with such a big head. 😛😉

Congrats and best wishes to your family.🙂

Congrats!

That's the same name my fiancee and I were discussing the other day for the "if it's a girl" discussion.

We actually had to wait a couple of days to agree on a name ... we were much more prepared for a boy! I went out for a quick dinner with my parents and formulated the name I wanted, and came back and told her my thoughts. She laughed, saying that was exactly what she was thinking. BAM. It was done 🙂

congratulations.
watch the start of the Movie RV with Robin Williams for a peek into the future.
The scene where it goes from cassie being a little girl to a 15 year old. Its right at the start of the movie.
lol its hilarious and dead on.
But once again congratulations to you and your wife.

Congrats Patt! Welcome to parenthood
😉
My daughter has the same birthday. Yours was being born while mine celebrated number 17.

😎 ... I'm pretty happy she isn't 17 yet ... I need the intervening years to get used to the idea 😛

Just curious did you wife regret not getting the epidural?

No she did not ... she honestly didn't have much of a chance because things were progressing so quickly. It was her hope to go through the process drug-free, and in the end she did so. It had as much to do with the fact that things progressed so quickly anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS, MAN! 🙂

God blessed you with a healthy baby 🙂 you probably couldn't be any happier
