Are you going to still do IT on the side?

yup, still have my business partner ... and possibly 1-2 underlings.

vacations are fun, but I really do hate living for those 3~4 weeks off a year. I've always wanted to be a cop, just never saw the money in it, but it seems MPLS pays decent .. about 58k~ starting salary with OT. I have been on boatloads of ridealongs, neighbor is a cop, few friends are cops, they seem to really enjoy it.

I've also got a possible job lined up in California ... a climate change might be all I need too.

Another option is to go south.... sell everything, house, condo, and mod out a truck me and the wife can live in and spend a year or two and take the trip to Patagonia, and then to south africa.

I would love to discuss it more with some mature individuals (not overly emotional whiners like you), but we have been accused of thread derail and therefore, I promised I will not discuss it any further unless it is in P&N or PMs as to avoid getting the thread locked. In other words, I respect the others in this thread, unlike you.

Insults aren't arguments, no matter how much you may think they are. Your "arguments" were laid out for all to see. I am glad they are. There is nothing more to discuss, as I have already said. One day you will learn that attacks, accusations, and assumptions aren't arguments. Your lashing out is the perfect example of the attitude of many americans, so it is great to have them summarized here so that europeans can grasp it better.

Take it to PM. I'm glad you agree insults aren't arguments, since the bulk of your posts contain insults. Funny how there is nothing more to discuss yet you keep derailing the thread.

I love that you need to keep coming back for the last word : ). It is hilarious.

It was exactly on topic.

9. The desire to feel special/more important than other individuals. Whether it be getting better healthcare, more days off, etc. This greed rules the american mind.

Apparently it even applies to forums!

Unfortunately, you don't want honest discourse, as evidenced by your continued dodging, mischaracterizations, and overly emotional responses.

You have a business and allegedly give your employees unlimited vacations and all these other miscellaneous benefits (is my understanding correct?) I'm not sure I believe it, but if it really is true, good for you and I truly wish you well and hope your business thrives and you can build it and employ more people.

Nothing emotional at all actually. Your responses have been pretty straight forward and right in line with how the general american thinks. I understand that it is a hard pill to swallow to see it stated back in simple terms. People have to rationalize/justify in order to survive without them thinking poorly of themselves.

I haven't even been asked anything to dodge(aside from personal information, which is no one's business). Hell, you didn't even bother asking me why I thought it was in the government's best interests to expand worker rights.

This thread has been hopelessly derailed.

I would have to delete the last 3 pages to bring this back to topic.
